This zine contains a piece of writing I created in spring of 2021, as a full year of deep COVID lockdown came to an end. It had been a long winter, and I found myself noticing the signs of spring more than usual, as the world started to come to life again. I documented this in a form that was part journal, part prose poem.

In 2024 I revisited this text as part of my final project for a Zines mini-course. I placed it alongside photos from my camera roll from the same period in spring 2021, including photos of specific moments referenced in the text when they were available. At a classmate's suggestion during a workshop, I handwrote the (originally digital) text on paper and photographed it to make it feel more like pages from a diary. The finished zine is one of my favorite and most personal creations.
