I'm Maggie, and this is my blog where I'll be talking about what I make each week.</p><p>A little about me: I just graduated from the University of Michigan with my BFA in Art &amp; Design, and I'm starting down the path of a career in art. I am primarily an illustrator, working in traditional and digital media, and I make comics and zines as well. I love to read, particularly sci-fi and fantasy. One of my career goals is to someday illustrate book covers. Themes you'll see popping up in my art again and again: friendship, space / astronomy, and small everyday joys.</p><p>I’ve been looking for a way to have some sort of consistency in my art practice now that I’ve left the structure of art school behind. I also want to get more comfortable sharing my art even when it’s messy or unfinished. This is my attempt to do both at once! I plan to write an entry to this blog/newsletter every week and share (just about) every piece of art I worked on that week, finished or unfinished.
